Aaronnesa is a very tall, leggy, long-necked, and powerful moving mare with a confident, but sweet nature. Aaronnesa is also a very uniquely bred mare. She is one of only 18 daughters born to U.S. Reserve National Champion Futurity Colt Moudriey. Unfortunately for the breed Moudriey died shortly after being exported to France , however in his brief career as a sire, Moudriey topped the charts as a leading sire of IAHA Sweepstakes winners. He has produced numerous National winning foals such as international sensation *Valmeira, and multiple national winner JL Moudry Blues+//.
It is not only Aaronnesa's sire that makes her pedigree special. Her dam Barbados Rose was an accomplished Regional Champion English horse, and was sired by the champion Port Bask son, Port Barbados. Barbados Rose was out of the famed Mocha-T++, a champion halter and park horse that was a super-star in her time. Mocha-T ++ was also the dam of multiple champions in both halter and performance. She came by her success honestly. Winning was in her blood, as evidenced by her full blood sister U.S. National Champion Futurity Filly and National Champion producer Sey Cherie++, the dam of the incomparable The Chief Justice.
Moudriey and Barbados Rose were bred together on 6 different occasions, with incredible results! While Aaronnesa was never shown (being the youngest of the siblings, she was kept at home while her older siblings competed), her full siblings tell the story of the potential that she had as a show horse, and of the potential she carries as a producer! Aaronnesa's full sister Moudrianna was Region 15 Reserve (out of 25 entries) and 18 Reserve (out of 22 entries) Sweepstakes filly. We're told she narrowly missed the Region 15 win, but was clearly THE crowd favorite, bringing the house down with the audience's applause for her. Another full brother, Aaroganse, holds numerous halter, hunter and show hack championships including Regional performance wins. Full sister Annushka was shown, and won, at the Region 16 futurities…and the list goes on…
At 19 years of age, and in perfect health (she still acts like she's 5!), Aaronnesa is ready to concentrate on her career as a mother. While having spent the last many years as a family pet, 4-H horse, and trail companion, she has enjoyed the experiences of motherhood, having produced two foals, with her last foal having been born in 2007. “Nessa” has been bred to the exotic Magnum Psyche son, HJ Gaiel Magnum for a 2009 foal. We expect this foal to be nothing short of phenomenal!
